My name is Supanut Chaleoi-arj. My nickname is Bright.
I am in P.5 in King's College.

I have straight and short hair.
I have black hair too. I don't have any brothers or sisters. I have black and thin eyebrows. I have black eyes. I have a round face. I have fair complexion. I have big ears. I'm plump.

In my free time I like playing computer games and playing sports. I'm naughty student. I like to study and play.

Introducing Prathom 5, Teacher Gemma's Class

This is a very smart class. They are all very polite, playful and enthusiastic. The class is attentive and creative when using English. These boys always try to do their best.

Tong Kaw is an excellent student. He is always very happy and a joy to teach.

Save and Game, Winners of Student of the Week Awards, Prathom 6

In this photograph you can see Save, who is on the left, present a Student of the Week Award to Game. Save won the award the week before.

Save has excellent English and writes very well. Excellent work Save!

Best and Film 1, Student of the Week Award Winners

These two boys are recent winners of Student of the Week Awards.

Best is a very polite and hardworking student. He always tries to do well and his English is getting a lot better.

Film 1 used to be a bad boy! But, now he works very hard and is always a cheerful student with an excellent sense of humour.

RUNG, Mattayom 1, Student of the Week

Rung was the Student of the Week-Mattayom 1, Group 1- for the Week ending the 25th of Juy. Rung is an entusiastic, clever student who is always interesting in finding out the correct answers to questions. Excellent work Rung! Koe, Mattayom 3, Second Place Speech Competition

The Nakhon Pathom, Education Office of Area Two, speech competition was held recently. A King's College student, Koe, from Mattayom 3 won second place.

MY HOME TOWN

My home town is Nakhon Pathom. Nakhon Pathom is a very old city. It is 2000 years old.

Important stucture of my town is Phrapathom Chedi from the reign of King Rama 5 of the Bangok Period.

And in Nakhon Pathom have many interesting places. There is the Rose Garden Country resort, Wat Rao Khing, Don Wai market and the San Pet temple. But today I will talk about the Rose Garden Country Resort.

The Rose Garden Country resort is popular in Sam Phran and is 32 kilometres west of Bangkok. It is very beautiful with Thai style houses on the bank of the Tha Chin river. And, in the Rose Garden Country resort there is a show that includes Thai Folk dance, Thai boxing, sword fighting and and elephant show.

Today my teacher gave me....

For most of our Prathom 6 students writing is the most difficult skill to learn and the one that they dislike the most.

So, to create a bit of excitement and interest in a writing exercise we bought each student a piece of fruit or a vegetable and placed it on their desks. This got their attention! And, once they understood that they would get to eat what they had been given after they had written about it, they were keen to begin!

For some of the students it was the first time that they had seen some of the fruit (peaches and nectarines for example) so there was some vocabulary to be learnt. Also the students needed to learn other vocabulary such as seeds, shiny, dull, hairy and on the inside/outside. Also we tried to encourge the use of 'and' to improve their writing ability.

This class was a big success; most of the students produced good work and all tried to produce their best writing. It was a very, very noisy class though!!

Today my teacher gave me an apple.
An apple is a fruit.
It colour is yellow.
It is smooth.

On the inside my apple is yellow.
On the outside my apple is yellow and soft.
It tastes sweet and soft.

Today my teacher gave me a carrot.
A Carrot is a vegetable.
On the outside it's orange.
It's long and narrow.
It's smooth and hard.

On the inside it's orange.
It's long and smooth.
It's hard.
It's not sour but it's sweet.

PALM, Prathom 6

Today my teacher gave me a tomato.
A tomato is a vegetable.
My tomato is red and shiny and soft and smooth.
Inside my tomato is red.
Have a lot of seeds and it very soft and it tastes delicious.

Milk, Prathom 6

The kiwifruit is round and hairy.
Inside the kiwifruit is green.
It has many seeds.
It's soft.
It's not shiny.
It's dull.

Today my teacher gave me an orange.
An orange is a fruit and it is a dark orange color.
An orange is smooth on the outside.
On the inside it is light orange.
It has many seeds.
On the outide it is round.
On the inside it is soft.
It tastes sour.

Pol was the best student in Mattayom 1, Group 1, English Intensive Class.
Pol has very good reading, writing and listening skills and he is a clever student who works quietly.

Below is TAO's story. He uses the past simple tense with creative effect by using his friends names in the story.

Last week Hippo and Kongsak went to the forest. Before they went to the forest they bought something to take to the forest. In the morning they went to the forest by car. They walked around the forest and pitched up camp.

Next day they went fishing and they met two elephants. Two hours later they were very sad because they can't get any fish but, they were happy again because the two elephants walked to help them. The two elephants fishing and got fish for them. They said to the elephants: Thank you for the fish. At night they had dinner with fish and traveled in the forest two days. They came back home. They remember the two elephants for a long time.

This is Ton's story.

One day in the afternoon, two people, father and son went to the park. They were fishing. The son saw that in the river had fishes. His father ate the sandwich. In the park had the trees and river, it was very cool, but they didn't get the fish. They were sad. The bucket was empty. After that, have an elephant. One elephant went to father and son and it blew the fish down in the bucket. They were happy.

Below, from Mattayom 3 is GOT's story. It shows a very good understanding of the past simple tense.

In the afternoon Jim and Jack went fishing in the river. In the river there were many fish. Jim sat on his chair and he ate a cake. Jack stood on the grass. They fished for 3 hours, after that they looked their hooks. The hooks didn't have a fish. The elephant sucked many fish in the river. It blew many fish in their bucket. Jim and Jack were happy!!

Games has won an Excellent English Writing Certificate for his story below. His story not only used good English, but it is also creative and made his teacher laugh!

Once upon a time there was 1 man and 1 boy. They looked like father and son. On the way they saw trees. The trees said, "Hello." Father and son were very suprised and they didn't like that, so they ran away from that place.

They were very hungry. After they ran for 3 hours they saw a big river. Then they were fishing, but their fishing rod was broken. After that there was 1 elephant that saw they were sad. Then it helped them to fish. They were very happy.

But son still hungry, so he killed the elephant and ate it! Then he was full. Happy ending.
